What is Microneedling?
Microneedling, or CIT (collagen induction therapy) is a minimally invasive treatment used to rejuvenate the skin of face and body. The procedure uses the body's natural healing process to stimulate microcirculation and the growth of new collagen and elastion to even out the skin complextion, for more radiant and even skin palette!
What makes my microneedling service different from others? Here, it's an art! Some of the best European serums on the market; from Vienna, Austria; are used. Many times a serum combo is put together to target more than one skin issue. Manual needling before machine to target areas for a more intense before and after skin improvement when needed! This further evens out skin complexion, and includes a few unique techniques that improve skin further during treatment! At the end you're sent off with great aftercare product and simple aftercare instructions following treatment! Along with recommended treatment plan for optimal results.
Microneedling is done with a 12 point laser precision fine needles cartridge, attached to a tattoo-like machine to create hundreds of tiny, invisible punctures in the top layer of skin, infused with serums during and directly after procedure. Anesthetic is used to make the procedure tolerable. Topicals are absorbed on a far deeper level, right into the dermis layer of skin, making it up to 500 times more effective than expensive topical creams. This makes microneedling much more effective than a spa facial and it lasts for months. Multiple treatments may be recommended for optimal result, and is case by case. Microneedling triggers the body's natural healing mechanism to create new collagen and elastin cells. Serums infuse the body with much needed nutrients right at the source for rapid regeneration.

What is Phi Ion?
Phi-Ion simply put, is a non surgical procedure that 'zaps' imperfections and wrinkles away, tightens loose skin and can improve the appearance of scars. It has a wide variety of uses such as removal of skin tags, age spots and eyelid lifts! Most of the healing takes only a few days, topical concealer/aftercare combo is given with each appointment. Topical anesthetic is applied before treatment. If you're thinking of trying fillers, botox, or even facelifts, give this alternative a thought. Phi-Ion treatment is long lasting. It uses the body's natural healing process tightening skin with little to no down time after, and no injectables or fillers are used!
The principle of Phi-Ion involves the ionization of gases from the atmospheric air to create micro electrical discharge causing sublimation (turning solids into gas) of the excessive/sagging superficial skin layer. AFTERCARE
Microneedling Aftercare
MICRONEEDLING
After the procedure, the skin will be red and flushed in a similar way to moderate sunburn. You may also experience skin tightness, tingling and mild sensitivity to touch on the area being
treated. These effects will diminish greatly a few hours following treatment and after 3 days most visible erythema (redness) will be absolved.
Immediately after the treatment, the Practitioner/Technician applies the PhiFace After Treatment Mask and provides client with Ultimate Skin Cocktail with detailed instructions for use.
Starting from the evening after the treatment, and for the next 4-5 days: Ultimate Skin Cocktail gel is to be applied on a treated skin area three times a day (morning, afternoon and night).
After the treatment DO NOT:
-
Wash your face for 12 hours.
-
expose the skin to direct sun light for 24 hours with strict recommendation to wear hat.
-
apply make up for 24 hours.
-
use foundations and powders for 48 hours.
-
use sauna, swimming pools and public bathing, tanning salons for 5 days
-
expose yourself to physical exertion and sport activities accompanied by excessive sweating for 5 days.
-
use Botox or fillers for next 3 weeks.
Phiion Aftercare
PHI-ION
Clusters of yellowish spots up to 0.2 mm in diameter will appear in the treated area and remain visible 5 days.
Day 1:
-
Ice treated area (if needed) using clean paper towel to cover ice pack each use. Alternate 10 minutes on and off for up to 1 hour for first 2 days. Anti-histamines or IB profin (if needed) can also help with any swelling in the early healing phases.
-
To keep treated area clean use a mild, unscented, alcohol free cleanser. PAT DRY - KEEP AREA DRY as much as possible! Dry healing is preferred, lightly wash only if absolutely necessary.
Day 2-5+:
-
TO MASK SCABS: Use of Skin Candy Anti Shock; a special formulated foundation aftercare from your artist; can be used to cover the treated area 24 hours after procedure if you feel the need to cover area (optional). This is the only safe concealer you can use during healing while scabs are still present!
Day 3:
-
When feeling of tightening or tingling is present a thin film of PhiSoothing cream or Skin Candy Balm should be applied in very thin layer, starting 3rd day.

Taking vitamin c and L-lysine supplements over the course of your healing process can give your immune system and collagen production a boost.
-
All side effects should disappear within 7 to 10 days.
After the treatment: -
do not wear contacts for 72 hours for eye treatments.
-
do not pick scabs!
-
Avoid smoking.
-
Avoid shaving over any area that has been treated until skin has fully healed.
-
Do not use anything harsh on your skin (like acids, peels, or exfoliants) until you have reached 8 weeks post healing treatment point.
-
Do not apply makeup (even mineral makeup) until scabbing has fallen off completely. This is to avoid infection or disrupting the scabs prematurely.
-
IMPORTANT! Avoid direct sunlight or tanning beds to treated area while healing. Once healing process complete, always apply broad spectrum SPF 50 or higher to area for a minimum of 3 months after last treatment. Skin is still healing and can become damaged from UV rays.

What to expect after Phi-Ion stages of healing:
*the following are general day to day guidelines for the more intense treatments, such as eyelid treatments. Some people may heal faster or slower based on numerous factors that can be discussed at appointment*

Day 1:Try to lay propped up with pillows if eyelid treatment done. Some discomfort normal. Area treated will feel like a sunburn. Icing and aftercare listed above will help, especially important for eye area treatments.

Day 2-3: Any swelling or redness typically peaks by day 2 and will decrease. For eye treatments, swelling can also spread to under eye area. Don't worry, this is perfectly normal if it happens. The upper and lower eye are all connected, therefore the fluids can drain to the lower eye area. This will pass. The scabs must not be picked, allow them to fall off on their own. Your level of discomfort will subside by day 3. Use of the aftercare foundation Skin Candy Anti Shock from your artist can help mask the darkness of dots. Do not use any makeup.

Day 4: Any swelling or discomfort should diminish. Scab crusts may start to fall off with some pink or redness underneath.

Day 5: Some scabs may still be present. Continue use of Skin Candy Balm whenever skin feels tingly or tight.

Day 6-10: Any remaining scabs will have fallen off on their own. It is normal for new skin under scabs to be pink or red and peeling as the healing process continues.

Weeks 1+: After all scabs have fallen off, you may experience tender, peeling skin for a few days. Once skin is no longer tender, you may safely use a gentle, enzyme exfoliant to slough off peeling skin. You can now use lotions and make up. Each day, your skin will progressively return to it's original coloration and texture.
